Useless waste of tax payers money. They do nothing but harass even ethical hunters. My hunting land is about a 2 hour drive. I left home at 4 AM, waited for legal hunting hours and walked to my stand. It was a perfect morning, 40 degrees and barely daylight. I had a good 7 point that I really wanted. 2 does and a small buck walked out and began to eat grass. All of a sudden the deer lifted their heads and ran. Then I hear, “Game Warden, can we talk”. I was mad as hell. I got my license and everything else was legal. He said “well it looks like you’re good to go”. I then began to tell him that I drove 2 hours and that was the only day I had to hunt. I also told him I was watching 3 deer as he walked up and ruined my hunt. I told him he was on private property (of course they’re allowed to come on your private property and f*ck 💩 up) . I told him he was nothing but an extortionist. A month later I went back to hunt. Same scenario. Perfect morning. I was watching 2 does and the same small buck. About that time the buck I was after came out. I put a good shot on him. Dropped him in his tracks. A mature 7 point buck 18” spread. Good mass and tall times. He weighed about 200 pounds. That’s a good buck for south Mississippi. On the way home I stopped at the gas station. Lo and behold the same damn game warden pulls in. He of course checked everything again (wanting to make sure I paid the state to have permission to harvest what was given to us). He said, well that’s a fine buck. I said, yeah you can have a successful hunt if you don’t have a dumb ass with a badge and a radio harassing you.
