@justice_forthe_voiceless: The accident: Nero was playing in the street with his friends and was riding his skateboard while lying on his stomach. The driver of the bakkie did not see him and struck him accidentally. Medical care: Due to the severity of his injuries, Nero passed away while on the way to Mediclinic Cape Gate hospital. Gracious forgiveness: His parents, Nicolene and Christiaan van Niekerk, have indicated that they have already forgiven the driver—who is also a neighbor and the father of one of Nero’s friends—recognizing that it was a freak accident that the driver will carry with him forever. #SAMA28 #heartbreaking #fyp #foryoupage #southafrica
