my mum passed of pulmonary fibrosus of the lungs, I'm also a carer & I totally get it,it's so hard, for both you & your mum, so much frustration & it's a massive struggle, your mum sounds very like mine, it's so hard to have someone shower you that you dont know etc etc, my mum was such an independent woman as was yours so it's such a hard transition, I loved listening to this, I get it, I get you & I get your mum, she's free now, as is mine 🫶

your mum sounds just like my mum luckily she has me over from the Uk to do 24/7 care but cant get her in the shower either I get so upset with her xx still puffing on her fags so they wont give her oxygen xxx mum has asked for assisted dying !!!

Wow it sound so scary I've been diagnosed with stage COPD last week I'm still very active and i can still do all the things any normal person can do.But i need to quit smoking cause i don't want to worsen my condition. I'm only 50 years old and there's still so mutch things in life i wanna do.

I am so very sorry to hear that you had to go through so much with your mum, I too have server COPD I need oxygen 24/7 like your mum I get a lady to come in once a week for 2 hours, I get this lady to take me out shopping or doctors appointments, but if I was unable to shower my self they would help me with that, it’s a shame your mum didn’t get someone she liked and felt comfortable with to help her with her personal hygiene

I lost my mum years ago to COPD I looked after her right until the end it’s the worse painful disease to watch a loved one and now my sister only 59 has it and I’m looking after her when she isn’t in hospital but she is in hospital more than not. It’s killing me I don’t want to have her with me as I can’t cope with the same emotions and deterioration dr told me last week my sister got 1-2 years and is very severe I don’t know what to do it’s affecting me bad but she only has me. But my mh is bad with the worry and fear what do you advise please 🥰🥰🥰🥰

my mother passed 8 weeks ago with dementia and stage 4 copd .hardest time of my life to see how fast she declined in the last month of her life never want to go through it again .

soŕy4 ur mothers loss-i have bad copd im on 3 different breathing machines a day!i need oxygen and a walker when im going out-i only go out once a week for an hour on a friday and its like a-treat to get out for a hospital appoitment its like a day out 4 me!!i only started smoking at the age of 29 but it was the drugs that gave me copd bad.i wouldnt wish this on an Enem but all you can do índice soldier on with things im a year off the ciggerettes i took a massive heartattack and died in my sisters arms but te firebrigade got to me ontime-i they revived me i died but my mother said they wouldnt give up trying to revive me i woke up in blanchardstown hospital in ccufor a week and then in a normal ward for two weeks i do feel like getting sick because of the smell of the smokes are now discusting so yea thats me in a nutshell COPD DESTROYED MY LIFE BUT IT WAS DOWN TO MY LOVE FOR DRUGS IM AWAY FROM DRUGS 20MONTHS NOW ASWELL AS 1YEAR AWAY FROM CIGGERETTES
