Hi! I just want to clarify why I responded publicly and why I believe it was the right decision for our business. She posted a video alleging we were racist, which led to significant backlash online. As a brand, staying silent in the face of such serious allegations was simply not an option. I’d actually argue that people appreciate when brands address situations like this head-on, rather than waiting weeks to release a generic, carefully worded statement. Transparency has always been a huge part of who we are. Since these allegations were made publicly, I felt it was important to address them publicly and give our community the full context. 🤍

From my perspective, it definitely feels like Destanee abused her position with that discount code, because ordering stuff well, well in excess of what was agreed definitely feels like she was trying to see how far she could push it. I dunno if the jewellery was ever sent out (I'm guessing not?) but if she'd tried to take the piss with me like that, I woulda cancelled the deal as well.

I saw this story, her audacity to make such order [Tears of joy], it should have stopped there when the brand cancelled the order. But no… she doing a story out of it like she was the victim was crazy! She is a small creator and it feels like she just dig her own creator grave, what brand will want to work with someone like this? And for the brand, I understand why they felt the urge to defend themselves when they were not in the wrong
