I did not expect to enjoy my time in Germany so much. I was surprised while traveling through Europe, I met a lot of Germans that I got closer to. (Ps: Traveling through is not the same as living in a place) Here’s a few stories from my time there; I was on the train to Munich from Prague, the train stopped somewhere and we had to get off, I didn’t know what was going on since there was no english. This guy also on the train noticed that I had no clue, he came to me and asked me where I was going. He pulled out his app and showed me which train to take, when and where to wait. On that train, I set next to a woman that started chatting with me and she was so happy to hear about my travels. She literally asked if anyone had been mean to me in Germany and she said she apologises incase anyone is rude to me. She told me how she is happy that I am travelling her country, I am welcome. On top of that she ask invited me on a tour of Nuremberg, I was just gonna change trains but she insisted that I stay and explore a bit. Even invited me to come to her home next time when I have more time. Turns out Nuremberg is one of those places you see pictures of on Instagram. These is just one the few stories that stood out since I thought Germans were not friendly people and there were those who weren’t nice. #travelwithmpilo #traveltiktok #southafricatiktok #paralleltravel
