When I lived up North, there was a woman who lived a few doors down who would come knock on my door and tell me she needed to go to the grocery store. Then she would go off on a tangent. I always thought of taking her to the grocery store, but I was afraid of what would happen after. A few times, a younger woman would be out on the sidewalk yelling for her Mom. Sad situation.

Best thing you can do is call 911 and they will contact adult protective services after seeing the behavior first hand.

I lost my mother to this. It was a 24/7 job and it’s exhausting even with all the love you have for them. But I do miss my mom.

My sister-in-law is the same way.Cannot do nothing much to them, if they can say yes or no.\n You cannot do nothing that's part of the law nowadays.

Worked in residential care. I’ve been swung at. Kicked. Yelled at. Dementia is horrible for everyone. They are so confused, angry and frustrated 97% of the time. Most families get butthurt then ignore them and leave the strangers around them to deal with it. Call adult services. I’m sooooooo sorry you deal with this it’s not good for anyone.
