@clarkybateman: In the back of my mind I pretty much always feel that everything is a comfort illusion; status, money, sorrow, joy, purpose, love, righteousness, hate… none of these feelings or experiences will last or amount to anything, but that is exactly why they matter. Life has meaning because it is finite, with everything in between being a distraction to pass the time before death. Those distractions are invaluable experiences still meant to be felt in their fullest capacity while staring “meaninglessness” in its face. Becoming an apathetic bystander towards your life because it has an end is throwing away a gift that is one in infinity, as it will never happen again. Literally never. Only you will ever get to perceive and feel the world exactly as it’s meant to be through your mind.
