@thisismoney: FORTNITE FOUNDER TIM SWEENEY LAUNCHES £75 MILLION FUND TO SUPPORT GAME DEVELOPERS, STUDENTS AND EDUCATORS. Tim Sweeney, the billionaire founder of Epic Games, established the Epic MegaGrants programme in 2019, committing $100 million, approximately £75 million, to support developers, students, educators and creators working on 3D graphics and interactive technology. The fund backs projects using Unreal Engine, the technology behind Fortnite, as well as initiatives that improve open source 3D graphics tools. Grants range from approximately £3,750 to £375,000, helping independent developers, creative teams and educators bring ambitious projects to life. Recipients retain ownership of their intellectual property, meaning they can continue developing and publishing their work independently. #ThisIsMoney #Money #News #UK
