@storynewdaily.789: Hours after Russia agreed in principle to restart U.S.-brokered peace talks, missiles and drones struck Ukraine’s capital overnight. The Russian Attck on Kyiv Klled at least one person and wounded 22 others, Ukrainian authorities said. Homes, transportation infrastructure and other civilian sites were damaged across several districts of the city. Some of the heaviest damage was reported in Kyiv’s Dniprovskyi district, on the eastern side of the Dnipro River. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said one person was K*lled there and six others were wounded, including a child. Fires also broke out after the strikes. The timing immediately drew attention because the Att*ck came only hours after the Kremlin announced a possible return to negotiations aimed at ending the war. On October 21, Kremlin foreign affairs adviser Yuri Ushakov said Russian President P*tin had agreed “in principle” to restart three-way talks involving Russia, Ukraine and the United States. The announcement followed P*tin’s meeting with U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff in St. Petersburg. The proposed talks would take place sometime after November 10. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy cautiously welcomed the possibility of renewed negotiations. “We’ll see what happens this time,” he said. Shortly afterward, missile alerts sounded across Kyiv. The latest strikes come as Ukraine prepares for another difficult winter following repeated Russian Att*cks on energy and civilian infrastructure. And they underline the uncertainty surrounding the new diplomatic push. Russia has agreed to return to negotiations. But before those talks can even begin, missiles and drones are still hitting Ukraine’s capital.
