That "comedian" felt comfortable saying that in front of that group of people and thats something we need to highlight too

Comedians have a learning journey somewhat where you are finding your style, figuring out where the line is etc and we have all made jokes at some point that on reflection you feel bad about and you grow…however, in this case, it’s that there wasn’t one singular mistake, there were several layers to it and he had many opportunities to course correct - reposting it a year later as a throwback he was proud of shows the ignorance, and the “apology” showed did read like a oops I’ve been caught and will lose opportunities, rather than feeling genuine. It’s also not the only joke that punched down as well - his joke about Daniel sloss fking his sister as well shows that this is ingrained in him. He also couldn’t read the room in the current environment where we are sooo tired of it among the Shane Gillis’s, and trumps, and Cornell 7s, and Conor McGregors. Just no - you’re not getting away with it. Mind you, he is from Belfast that has one of the highest DV, femicide rates in the UK. What a let down.

Just for local context too: all across Ireland but ESPECIALLY in the north, there's an ongoing epidemic of violence against women and girls. It's one of the most dangerous places in Europe for us. So many women murdered. This is CONSTANTLY being talked about in our local media, news, councils and government, schools, online... Vittorio is from Belfast and that matters. He fucking KNOWS and we sure as hell aren't going to let him pretend otherwise.

I said exactly this on IG and ended up deleting it because I got piled on by men all sticking up for him and Daniel sloss it was scary, the language they were using left me in no doubt that men really do hate women now.
