John Goodman is opening up about one of the most difficult periods of his life, revealing how his relationship with food and alcohol pushed his weight to nearly 400 pounds before he decided he needed a change. The 74-year-old actor, beloved for roles in Roseanne, The Big Lebowski, and Monsters, Inc., discussed his struggles in a recent interview with The New Yorker. Goodman explained that he repeatedly lost around 60 pounds during the summer, only to regain even more. Eventually, the exhausting cycle forced him to reconsider his habits. "I was almost 400 pounds," he admitted, reflecting on how his eating habits continued to affect him even after he stopped drinking. Goodman gave up alcohol in 2007, when he was 55. He said his decision came after years of struggling with drinking and realizing how much it was holding him back. "I got sick and tired of being sick and tired," he recalled, describing a cycle that left him dealing with increasingly difficult consequences. His journey wasn't easy. After undergoing stomach surgery to address his weight, Goodman experienced other health challenges, including anemia and feeling cold much of the time. Over the years, he also hired a personal trainer, cut sugar from his diet, and began exercising six days a week. His efforts eventually helped him lose around 200 pounds. Goodman recently showed off his slimmer appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of Digger, drawing renewed attention to his remarkable transformation. His story is about more than changing his appearance. It reflects the difficult work of confronting long-standing habits and choosing a healthier future. Sometimes, the biggest transformation begins when someone finally decides they cannot keep living the same way. What do you think helps people make lasting changes when old habits become difficult to break? \#JohnGoodman #HollywoodNews #CelebrityTransformation #HealthJourney #celebritynews
