@marieayodele_: TikTok and Instagram isn’t real. But some of it is. The art. The early mornings. The living room workouts before the house wakes up. The faith that keeps me going. The kids who will always come before everything. I have been advised to hide the fact that I am a mother. To hide the fact that I am not a full-time artist and I have a job. To hide the fact that I am a Christian. That these things make me less of an artist. But these are my identities. Every single one of them. And I am not ashamed of any of them. I am a child of God. A mother. An advocate for people without homes. And an artist. All of it. All at once. Every single day.
