Today I finally faced a truth I’ve been avoiding for a while… I’ve been a bit quiet on here the last couple weeks… and I think it’s time I explained why. For anyone new here, Hey, I’m Courtney and I’ve been in the veterinary industry for 10 years. I spent 4 years at uni (had to resit a year because pharmacology is hard 😖) working my ass off to get my degree in veterinary nursing. I love the job! Truly! At its core… But the politics. The bullying. The pay. The constant pressure to give more than you have… It slowly burned me out… I kept trying though! Different clinics, different environments… just hoping that things would feel better. But everywhere I went… it was the same story. That’s why I started this page 🤍 To help other exhausted. Burnt out vet nurses feel seen, heard and less alone. And somehow, in just 8 month, this tiny corner of the internet has grown to over 8000 of you! 🥺💕✨ I could not be more grateful! Which is why I wanted to be completely honest with you all. I’ve not been in clinic for the last few months due to burnout. I’ve been resting Recovering And focusing on my mental health. Trying to remember who I am outside of a job that became my entire identity. This hasn’t been easy to talk about, but I know just how isolating this stage can feel. The confusion, the guilt, the fear of not knowing what’s next! So if you’re feeling lost, questioning everything or quietly wondering if it’s okay to want something different… you’re not alone. I don’t have everything figured out. I’m just being honest about where I’m at. Leave a 🤍 and let’s figure this out together #vetnurse #vettechlife #vetmed #veterinary #vet
