That happened to our pup also :(!! We moved to a play pen instead that was mesh and fabric and he was so much happier he was able to have space to move around also and was so much happier x

I don’t believe in crates a puppy/dog is a pet not a cadged animal I have had dogs all my life and never used a crate I think they are horrible 💕

we had this type of crate for our cocker, it looks so much nicer and it was so much safer, she absolutely loved her crate, we use to leave it open in the day and she would go in and out when she wanted and we only closed the door when we went out or at night time

Top tip for crate training- cover it with a blanket, will stop pup being able to see you and therefore won’t get so wound up and try to get out. It won’t keep happening if you persist, honestly. This was my 10 week old after 2 weeks of persistent crate training 💘

I don't agree with crate training and im my opinion, a 9 week old puppy is too young. A playpen is more suitable and would give Darla more room to play safely. I only use collars when on a lead. In car I use a bungee that clips into seat belt holder.Using a headrest restraint on such a young puppy isn't a good idea.If you had a collision your puppy could be swung around. A strong pet carrier that you can tether would be a safe option. I'm not judging btw, just sharing what works for me and my precious Poodles.🥰

The crate is far to big for her just now Steph, get a material one or a cat box. She will feel less frightened. Also give her a puppy Kong with some natural yogurt while she’s in it so it takes her mind away from being left and she focuses on the Kong xxx

I dont agree with crate training seen a couple of bad accidents with them. Just keep leaving her a wee bit longer each day and she will be fine. my dog chewed and moand the 1st couple of times now we can leave her all day if wanted but never more than 4 hours then someone is home for her. ur dog so ur choice steph ❤️❤️❤️

If you do it properly it’s a safe place for them to relax without being pestered!! Look at it like a bedroom. All 3 of my dogs are crate trained and we no longer use them but I made sure the crate was a safe place for them to relax 🩷

U need a suitable crate for small dogs! These crates r for bigger dogs. Also she needs to have the crate smaller in side to start with
