@apuulibabigumira: The Value of Peace and Security We Take For Granted | Lady Asia Abakar Ishag | Fluency Summit Speech As we start a session with speeches, we don't just want to see people talk — we want to learn and grow. Because one thing that unites us all here is speech, the power of our voices. Have you ever wondered how there are so many things we take for granted? Things we don't fully appreciate until they are threatened? For more than twenty years, Lady Asiya Abak Ishang has worked in humanitarian and development spaces, supporting communities, organizations and people navigating some of the most difficult moments in life. Her work has taught her that peace is not just a national conversation. It is something that affects our homes, our families, and our communities. In this powerful talk, she invites us to reflect on something we often take for granted and yet is very important for all of us.
