@effortlessmeals: Can a cookie really be worth $250? 🍪 The famous story claims a customer was quoted “two fifty” for Neiman Marcus’s cookie recipe, expected to pay $2.50, and got charged $250—so she shared it everywhere! The story is an urban legend, but this chocolate-loaded recipe became an internet classic. With blended oats, grated chocolate and pecans, it’s one to save and bake! 🤎 Recipe in comments 👇 #NeimanMarcusCookies #250DollarCookies #ChocolateChipCookies #CookieRecipe #Baking

Neiman Marcus $250 Cookies The famous internet version—not the official store recipe. Makes: About 50 cookies Oven: 375°F Ingredients * 1 cup unsalted butter, softened * 1 cup granulated sugar * 1 cup packed brown sugar * 2 large eggs * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract * 2 cups all-purpose flour, spooned into measuring cups and leveled * 2½ cups rolled oats, measured before blending into a fine powder * 1 teaspoon baking soda * 1 teaspoon baking powder * ½ teaspoon salt * 4½ ounces semisweet chocolate, finely grated * 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips * 1½ cups finely chopped pecans Instructions 1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. 2. Blend the measured oats in a blender or food processor until finely ground. 3. Beat butter and both sugars until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then vanilla. 4. In another bowl, whisk flour, ground oats, baking soda, baking powder and salt. 5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the butter mixture just until combined. Fold in grated chocolate, chocolate chips and pecans. 6. Scoop approximately 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie. Place 2 inches apart on prepared sheets and flatten slightly. 7. Bake 9–11 minutes, until edges are set and centers still look slightly soft. 8. Let cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Tip: If the dough becomes warm or spreads too much, refrigerate it for 20–30 minutes before baking.
