Highlighting data from the World Health Organization and an ICMR-led study, the clip notes that India records nearly 56 lakh dog bites and around 5,700 rabies tatalities every year, even though the country manufactures two of the world's three WHO-approved vaccines, Rabivax-S by Serum Institute and Vaxirab N by Zydus. The video illustrates how the bullet-shaped virus enters a wound through animal saliva, multiplies silently in the muscles undetected by the immune system, and hijacks the nervous system to travel toward the brain.
