It should be mentioned that this standard comes from a time when a person would graduate college and be a top income earning individual. This could support a spouse that does not work, cars, food, vacation, and anything up to three children may need. However, being 6 feet tall was still uncommon, even then. I make six figures and I do good to cover all my bills and have a little bit of savings. But I cannot afford all of those things. It also took me 10 years after college to make it to the six figure salary range. You also have a lot of older people refusing to retire because life is too expensive. That leads to less job growth, opportunities, and less job creation because companies can’t afford to pay for more employees when they are paying their executives top dollar. It’s a vicious cycle.

Part 2 of 3: for example I have gone on a few double dates with him after we both got divorce in 2014 and I saw firsthand where he asks his date questions to get to know her but they feel like police interrogation instead of authentic conversation. At one point my friend showed this gal a picture of his motorcycle ride and she showed interest- and since he is starved of attention the moment she eagerly engaged with the motorcycle conversation and pictures my friend was showing her - he continues forcing her to look at all his other phone pictures while he dominated the entire conversation about himself and her body language clearly showed her fading interest. As a friend and my date knows him too - we both tried to turn the conversation back to my friends date and get her to engage convo with us so she wasn’t trapped on my friends needy and validation seeking conversation . End part 2

To your point about credentialing - do you have any data on female preference around this concept? Like many adults get online degrees form university of Phoenix and western governors university? These are accredited universities and check the box , but are women using the “degree box” as proxy to filter men who were privileged enough to go to college right after HS - where affordability and campus living for 4 years act as filters to coming form a good family or having high IQ to get scholarships, military officer commissions etc ? I suspect but don’t actually know that most women filtering for 4 year degrees of a masters degree- see this as a proxy for : ambition, perseverance, ability to manage diverse social environments, and most of all college can be seen as the human equivalent of colorful display of male peacocks where the very signal is genetic fitness despite the obvious and visual. Woman might use As proxy for mate selection for other non check box traits women desire. Financial fitness to pay for tuition and frwternity living or the very public bet the self made man of taking on all the college debt and being so optimistic about his ability to pay it all back form his new career in finance. I suspect the degree checkbox women are filtering also for the proxy traits , not just the signal that the degree sends about future resource acquisition and future value of his status rising like a rock star finance bro. Many could argue that a degree earned at age 35 from university of phoenix online (no shade thrown) signals to woman a completely different man and different male traits than is he graduated HS and went to Princeton for 4 years . The degree in many ways is like the Birkin or Chanel bag that used to signal status and that signal has been diluted with noise. Degrees just like luxury items both used to have a strong signal but dilution occurs. So are women mate selection holding on to an evolutionary filter that no longer works ? Think of the halo of getting accepted to Harvard and the actual education that occures is the side show. A Harvard acceptance letter is similar to social proof or mate choice preselection where?

Part 3 of 3: I have seen creators like yours cover in depth the filters women’s choose and this unlocks awareness for men. I respectfully request that you find angles to create more content that shines the spotlight on the social dysfunction of many men and dating. Concepts like conversational balance and how men can be more self aware when they finally have the attention of woman on a date as most men are starved for female attention and the minute they get a chance they dominate the convo with self centered flair then they fail to read her body language and notice she has lost interest and is disengaging . Would love to also hear your content on concepts like why do most men wrongfully assume that a woman “wants them “ . Why did male brains evolve to wrongfully assume interest from women when she has no interest? This is a fundamental flaw I see in all of my guy friends and it is creepy and second hand embarrassment for me the observer. Many high IQ men are incapable of reading female body language accurately and men in general need constant recalibration and need to inclur social penalties for lack of situational awareness- - the swear jar equivalent for wrongfully assuming indicators of interest form woman. Or as my friend standing in line at the post office, triggering out the baddie in front of him to turn around and assess threat level - but misinterpreted by my friend as “she wants me , she couldn’t help herself , she just had to take it all in, she was eyeing me up and down like I am her next sexual feast. I was feting mail from my box and I saw the exchange happen and she was scanning for threat risk and he wrongfully assumes “she’s checking me out because I’m all that . My friend is a grey average looking man - not ugly but not worthy of a second glance. And he has a lifetime of experiences and datapoints that show him this reality - yet he continues to delusionally believe that all 25 to 35 women “want him” on a work flight together FA collect trash by hand and her hand brushed against his during https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTfyjuayN/ exchange- and he turns to me and says “she’s trying to tell me something “. This is ugly men behavior

the one thing I think you didnt mention or didnt drive home hard enough is how many of the men they want are married or gay/asexual. and how that kills their numbers or how it leads to multiple women going for or dating the same 1% man

My lady and I have been together for 2 years now. I am 2 years younger and that set her back at first but still gave me a chance. I was making 70k a year she was making 125k and has a degree. She left that job because it was way too stressful and now makes 95k not that I care.. Fast forward to now I bought a home for us using my veterans benefits, almost done with my bachelors, and make 120k. Moral of the story is she wasn’t picky with me because she saw my potential.. Some women just want the finished product not the climbing.

Would love to hear you talk about boring men . I have a friend of 25 years in my LDS ward and he is divorced aged 59 white male meeting all 6s including six pack abs . He is 6 ‘3”has penal chef and trainer. He owns three homes here in Utah and he has tried all matchmaking services here in Utah and he failed . Why ? He is boring and not fun to be around. He doesn’t understand conversational flow dynamics and he can’t be playful or light hearted. Taking long distance road trips with him are boring AF but since we are neighbors I have been his friend. He can’t see that he is boring to be around. He can’t see that he believes in his mind that he is slaying the dates her does get - but after 20 dates he never once gets a “call back “ for a second date and he refuses to listen and act on the matchmaker feedback . There is a genuine problem with men being incapable of putttjng themselves in the woman’s shoes and seeing how he comes across . So he lacks all ability to objectively read the room accurately (end part 1) continued
