I’m sorry, if someone who worked with a family member of mine who passed away, whether they kept in touch or were super close or not, decided to dedicate something to them, especially after they passed a long time ago, I think I would be pretty touched? Like; it doesn’t matter how much time has passed since heath passed away, people still love and remember him and want to keep his memory alive. And the fact that they had the rest of the cast up there too just speaks volumes about how much of an impact heath had, even if the movie is older or people have drifted apart over the years.

This is such a beautiful example of relational consideration. ❤️Julia could have simply honored someone she shared a meaningful connection with, but she also considered the person who continues to carry his memory and grief. Asking wasn’t about needing permission to remember him. It was about recognizing that our expressions of love and remembrance can touch other people’s hearts, too. That’s a kind of thoughtfulness I wish we practiced more often.
