@gloriabby15: Some people will do everything possible to convince you that nobody helped them get to where they are today, simply because they don’t want to help you. They forget the sacrifices their parents made, the people who supported them, the opportunities others gave them, and the hands that lifted them when they needed help. And the most annoying part? They will start telling you how they suffered, how they worked hard, how they struggled, and how today’s generation doesn’t want to work. Please, let’s stop that comparison! Today, young men are doing masonry, carpentry, tiling, construction, and all kinds of difficult jobs just to survive. Young women are equally working hard, doing businesses and struggling to become financially independent. This generation is not lazy! Opportunities and circumstances are simply different. Nobody is saying you are obligated to help everyone who comes to you. It’s your money, and you have every right to decide who to help. But if you cannot help someone, simply say you cannot help. Stop rewriting your history to make it look like you achieved everything without anybody’s support. You don’t have to bring down someone else’s struggle just to justify why you don’t want to help them. And remember, acknowledging the people who helped you doesn’t take away your hard work. It only shows gratitude and humility. I can also make this more powerful, emotional and controversial for Facebook, while keeping it respectful.#let’s
