being an idealist isnt bad, so long as you understand that your "ideal" form of government is a goal to work towards, not what should be done overnight. even if they were to overthrow the government, it wouldnt be possible overnight. the better option as it stands it working within the confines of a terrible system to force the change we want, all while working towards an idealistic goal. and not everyone is going to be happy about whatever system takes its place, because everyone has different ideals on what should be the overarching form of government. but we can at least agree that fascism and systems built to enable a subset to rule over the suffering "lower classes" are terrible and should be fought against

One of the problems I see with people like that is they think being contrarian online is gonna achieve things when it’s not. As somebody who lives in a midwestern red state, I don’t see any of these “burn it all down” people from safe blue states knocking on doors or doing community engagement here.

France works because they aren't built for cars like the US is. The US made interstates to help mobilize their military locally lol. We are set up so tanks can roll in our neighborhoods. In France, the streets are too narrow and they don't have enough drones and police/military to keep their population subdued like the US does. The reason adults like us are still around, is that the squeakier wheels literally died or got put in prison, by political design. We have to break out by voting and also just living how we want to live. Stop doing and engaging in bs.
