Dalam pidatonya pada acara Rakornas Tim Percepatan Akses Keuangan Daerah (TPAKD) Tahun 2026 yang digelar di JIEXPO Convention Centre, Jakarta, Kamis 22 Oktober 2026, Prabowo menegaskan pemerintah Indonesia tetap bertanggung jawab dan terus berupaya menangani masalah tersebut. Prabowo menambahkan, nama-nama perusahaan dari negara tetangga yang turut terlibat dalam pemicu karhutla tersebut nantinya akan diumumkan ke publik pada saat yang tepat. Meski mendapatkan kritikan, Prabowo meminta seluruh pihak untuk tetap tenang. “Tapi, kita cool saja ya. Kita tenang, kita bertanggung jawab. Kita sudah cukup besar pengerahan TNI, Polisi, Pemda bekerja setengah mati. Saudara saksi, saudara di paling depan, bupati, gubernur.
