100% agree - when I walk my Rottweiler, and we see a dog in the distance ready to come for us all I do is, walk normal - prepare my dog by saying “No no no” in a nice calming manner ,maybe give a nice soft pull on the collar but that’s all it takes to keep them calm when they approaching other excited dogs
