Australia normally uses stud adhesive, it’s normally a blue type glue , way better, no need to plaster nail holes no sanding those nails and no Jip rock or nails popping , ever , so many ceilings falling down , that does not happen when stud adhesive is applied

You realize nails have been used a heck of a lot longer than screws. The only reason you say screws is because they are faster
