I think the discourse online is mostly directed to unmarried mothers but I’m glad she spoke on agency, people take away women’s agency and you hear it by how they make it seem like having children is something women do for men and not themselves. The whole why would you GIVE him a baby without a ring? Women can have babies for THEMSELVES because they want to have kids. In the same breath I will say if you have a child for yourself then all the discourse should not offend you.

AGENCY it is!! and I'm not sure the internet is realizing that they're taking away women's agency by bashing single moms especially. Look at how they demonized Kay Yarm's decision to choose being a mom without marriage. She's a grown up woman exercising her agency, and for people who claim to believe in women's rights, they want to violate women's reproductive rights. It's insanity I tell you.
