You gotta admit it this is the best song ever. I don’t think a song ever taken off like this one has. And we owe it all to the babushka lady who made it famous. This video is a riot.

While I was teaching, one day we were having a discussion in class. My students and I had a relationship filled with comedic banter and occasional roasting of each other. On this particular day, a student said something out of the way and I roasted him. Another student out of the blue said to that student, “Oooh, You just got stepped on!” I loved the play on words (my last name is Stepp)! From that day on, Ben’s phrase was passed on from class to class. I told the class I was going to have that phrase turned into either a tshirt or a coffee mug. 2019-2020 school year, I had this tumbler made. I had begun that school year with dread. Had I known then (August 2019) for sure what that gut feeling was, I would have stepped down and resigned before I did in March 2020. I truly feel though, that during that time, God was pruning me. Up until that school year 2019-2020, I had loved and enjoyed teaching. I thoroughly loved my kids until I couldn’t love anymore. The kids in the fifth grade class I had that year of 2019-2020 made my life miserable. (The kids, parents and administrators that year) I did not get to enjoy my sixth graders that year! 😢 anyways……when schools dismissed due to COVID, I turned in my letter of resignation. That was the best decision I had made. The minute I submitted the email, I felt the burden lift. No more tears. It took me four hours to clean out my classroom and bring my belongings home. I haven’t looked back and I haven’t set foot on school property in six years. God was pruning me. I stepped out of my comfort zone and began posting Sunday School lessons on my Facebook page so my kids at church would still get their lessons. That lesson ministry continued for about a year and then became Daily Devotionals. Mrs. Christy’s Devotional Corner on Facebook came about. I try to keep posts daily but I often find myself getting behind as a result of the schedule I work. I have recently discovered a better way to keep up and will continue to post this way until God gives me the signal it is time to stop. I still get discouraged because I don’t see where I have a lot of views or interactions but I am still going to continue to post in order to reach others.
