I’m so glad my mother was psychotic about the people, especially men, that were allowed to be around my sister and me. We were never forced to hug people, even relatives. She made sure we knew no one was allowed to touch us. We weren’t allowed to spend the night with friends. When I was 14 an older man tried putting his hand on my leg I freaked out because alarm bells were going off in my head! I was NOT desensitized!! I told him to stop and take me home or I was going to tell my dad. He got mad and took me home. I was lucky. But the girl that I was friends with that had invited me to go somewhere with them wasn’t so lucky. Looking back now I can see how he was using her to get access to more young girls.

She fought like HELL to save her BABY, and the idea that the last thoughts in her head were that the baby's father is murdering it and she "failed" to protect it and will never feel that unconditional love back like she was SO excited to.... It just gets more devastating with each layer 😭
