Time is a valuable commodity that we can never get back. You look at what you have to do for the day, prioritize the things, and hit the ground running. If you don’t allow some time for yourself to relax, rest, or recuperate, you’ll end up running yourself into the ground, and then you’re not functioning at the level you need to in order to take care of all of the things you have to do. It’s a balancing act on a super thin tightrope. Between my kiddos, work, grad school, and whatever life throws at me each day, it’s hard. You just tighten your boot straps and get it done. However, the most important thing we all juggle is time with those we love and care about, so you have to make sure that you’re making the memories with them, living in the moment, and cherishing every second. Some days are harder than others, but it’s a give and take. With a dyslexic 5th grader, a super smart 1st grader that once he knows it he doesn’t want to practice it, and a daughter that’s in a rad tech program in college, and me having to help them all study/read/do homework, it gets hectic. But I always seem to find a way to make it work, and I even try to squeeze in time to visit my family back home to have quality time with them too. It’s a crazy, hectic, fun, beautiful, and amazing life. We only get one life, we can’t get a single second back, so you should just live it to the fullest, enjoy every moment, and squeeze in time for yourself so you can continue to hold it all together and take care of everyone and everything.
