. . . Heyyyyy guess who’s late. I was trying to get part 1 up Monday but I was struggling on the color scheme since I never do low render color and I didn’t want it to look like crap. I have so many ideas planned and I don’t want to color each and every idea I have. I fear I’ll go into art block trying to render all of them while being on a sever time crunch. CONTEXT: This moment takes place in the SE Kinger Plains after sleeping for the night. The SE area of the KP is massive and currently even after a day of travel from running away, they still aren’t out of the Red Queens Territory. After setting out early the girls travel further East where they can see the top edge of the Tall Tree Hallows starting to form . In the process Pomni finds a wild horse in the distance and begins to attempt to break it in hopes of having a mount for them to ride. Additionally, Pomni wasn’t trained in horse breaking of any sorts since she was never permitted to travel due to her position as Ragathas Knight. So this is very much her first. But anyway I want to start off with a light spirited comic between the two of them before we get into heavy territory at some point because there’s a lot of those in this story. And to those that are new readers and want to know my plans with this AU. Let’s start off with my expectations. 1) I want this to be fun! This AU even with its immense detail and information, it’s not a main project. I don’t want to feel pressured to keep up with it in fear of completely abandoning it from losing interest. 2) none of my comics/ animatics, etc. won’t be in chronological order. Every time I do stuff like that I get Burt out and drop the comic or AU all together and it’s just really exhausting so I’ll draw moments of the story I find interesting. 3) I want to create a rich world and story that builds on the relationship between Pomni and Ragatha while also creating a detailed lived in world.
