This is a raw post but it shows how many hats I have to wear as their sister who saved them. Its not just taking them in and caring for them. Its also being the one there when they get triggered, over stimulated, angry, sad. Giving them a safe space to finally let it out and be heard & seen no matter what that looks like. Before I got my sisters they were exposed to domestic violence and seen mom get physically abused by her boyfriend. Mack suffers from nightmares and ptsd from it. On top of mom being abusive to her and neglecting her. I had the same childhood trauma and it took me until my early 20’s to realize I’ve had PTSD since I was 3 as well as depression & anxiety. I want my sisters to have somewhat of a childhood that doesn’t consist of trauma, and survival mode. Living with trauma is so complex and hard. If I could take it all away from them I would. What I can do is always be there for them, advocate for them, hear them, see them, love them and teach them how to use their voice, teach them healthy habits and coping skills & most importantly to talk to God. I didn’t have a me when I was younger and I had to find my own way but I’m grateful God chose me to be their big sister 🤎 I love you Mack, always. The world is yours. #fyp #foryoupage #viral #tiktokviral
