@thecontainerguy: Moving a 53 foot container can be tricky without the right equipment. Here is how JC's Heavy Wreaking use a tow truck to haul one safely. We do not often see people move equipment this way, but utilizing a specific dolly setup makes transporting containers much more manageable. I am demonstrating how I load a 53 foot container onto dollies and secure it to my 35-ton wrecker for the road. The process relies on proper stabilization. I use cross chains to lock the shipping container onto the dollies and double-check the front connection to my tow truck, using my hooks as safeties. Ensuring the load is tied down and secured is the most important step before you start driving. #shippingcontainers #construction #hack #tips #containerhome

I'm very curious how an officer would interpret this, you're only allowed to overhang 5' of an empty seacan in Canada over the FRONT and/or BACK, they don't legally define the Center. Spirit of the law I don't think that'd pass an inspection but it's quite the idea.

No regulation for the container being towed? Your gear looks good but containers aren’t certified as a trailer or doesn’t this matter cause it’s treated like a tow

We haul the same size sea can with a 12 ton wrecker or a roll back deck truck. We have mag lights that stick to the back of the container and with signal and brake lights. That setup is over kill

Big difference between a tow and hauling freight. That dosen't look legal. Empty or loaded, Containers have to be secured from top to bottom. Plus no license plate on the dolly. In crane world and heavy haul booster world a dolly is considered a separate trailer that needs SGI inspection and its own license Plate. Won't be insured if something lets go on that setup.
