I am 63 and I only bring it up to my grown children, when they complain they can’t pay their bills, mortgage, or cell phone bill and ask me to chip in to pay those bills. If you can afford it, I encourage you to take as many vacations as possible. If you’re asking your parents to dig into their retirement funds to pay for your responsibilities. Than no.
