@laterellroach: *True — he did announce it as complete.* *June 15, 2026 - Truth Social:* > "The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all! I hereby fully authorize the toll free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!" - What it was: End to 109-day U.S.-Iran war that started Feb 28, 2026 (Operations Roaring Lion / Epic Fury) - Mediators: *Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif + Qatar* — Sharif posted at the same time: "Peace Deal... has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon." - Iranian confirmation: Deputy FM *Kazem Gharibabadi* on state TV said it put an "immediate end" to the war - Terms announced: Reopen Strait of Hormuz (20% of world oil), lift U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports, 60-day ceasefire window to negotiate nuclear program, formal MOU signing scheduled for *June 19 in Geneva/Switzerland* Why your note says "terms remain important to verify" is accurate — even after Trump's "complete" post, officials said the signed text wasn't public yet, Iran said reopening would be "within 30 days under Iranian arrangements" and for "mine removal," and the core issue — *Iran's nuclear enrichment* — was left to technical talks. Oil did drop sharply on the announcement ($100-91 range). So the announcement itself is real, but it was a framework/MOU, not a fully published final treaty.
