@boringincomeclub: 1. Pick ONE boring business people already pay for. This could be cleaning, hauling, organizing, surplus funds, etc. If people hate doing it, they’ll happily pay someone else to handle it. 2. Make sure people will actually pay. Look up who’s already charging in your area, and how much. 3. Get your first customer. Don’t waste time on a cool logo or a website, get a customer and then you can spend time creating. 4. Do the hourly math. Ten hours for $50 is $5 an hour. Ten hours for $500 is $50 an hour. Price it like your time matters. 5. Post anywhere and everywhere. Marketplace, Facebook groups, Nextdoor, TikTok. (We listed organizing on Marketplace, 10 people reached out, and we booked 1 job.) 6. ASK. FOR. REFERRALS. Every single time a job finishes. That 1 job turned into 3 more. 7. Give it 90 days. It’s always a slow road at the start. If it’s not working, adjust, don’t quit. 8. Don’t blow your first profits on a new car. Put that money into assets that grow your income, like better equipment, a second business, or investments. Your money should be making you more money. 9. Write down what you do. Once it’s repeatable, you can raise your prices, hire help, or get it done in half the time. 10. Stack stream number 2. Same formula, new boring business. Keep going until your side income covers your 9-5 for a few months in a row, then you get to walk out on YOUR terms. (For most people this takes longer than they think, and that’s okay.)
