@notafraidtofail: Nature's medicine cabinet is growing right in my garden 🌸 This is how I make my own echinacea tincture — the remedy generations before us reached for when a cold was coming on, and the one I never let my shelf run out of. Echinacea (purple coneflower) has been traditionally used to support the immune system, especially at the very first sign of feeling run down. Making it at home is simple: harvest, chop, cover with alcohol, wait, strain. That's it — no fillers, no mystery ingredients, just the plant doing what it's always done. A few tips from making my own: 🌿 The root is the most potent part — dig it in the fall of the plant's 2nd or 3rd year 🌿 Chop everything small so the alcohol can pull out the good stuff 🌿 Shake the jar every few days while it steeps (4–6 weeks) 🌿 Store it in a dark glass bottle and it keeps for years Save this for harvest season 📌 and share it with the friend who's always saying they want to "get into herbs." Have you ever made your own tincture? Tell me how it went 👇 #Echinacea #HerbalRemedies #NaturalRemedies #TinctureMaking #Herbalism

You should wash those root off in the garden or you will soon be needing a plumber. Just a suggestion
