@d6busgirl10827: If a second grader was picking on your 5 year old grandson, but then going into the school and telling a different story just to get him in trouble, what would you do? Would the mama bear in you come out? #bully #school #schoolbus
The bus should have cameras. Also ask the principal to investigate, speak to multiple students. Ask the driver to keep him towards the front of the bus. Drive him to school.

What does "picking on" mean? Physical or verbal.

Immediate! Written notice to the principal with a a request for a supervised viewing of the bus footage- tbh I’d tell my grandson as soon as she approaches you scream as loud as you can “leave me alone!” As many times as you need to and try to sit closer to the bus driver

I'd show up at the school and demand...hear me DEMAND the parwnts of the child AND the child meet me and the principal. If I need to take it higher, I'll do that too....but 💯 trust, you may have had a small issue but now you got me...the WHOLlE issue.

What I did was: First, I discussed this in detail with my child. Second, we role played “what to do” scenarios until my child was super confident in what to do. Third, I taught her the difference in fear vs. first time jitters and how it gets easier with practice. Fourth, I would watch her walk proudly onto that bus. Fifth, I would quietly say to the bus driver “I’m going to send an email about some bullying concerns I have on the bus. Do you want me to include you in that email?” Sixth: I will follow up with said email. Seventh: I will enjoy the rest of my day. Because my kid will tell me every single thing that happened after I put her on the bus. And we can plan for the next day’s issues accordingly. Confidence is taught with practice.

I would suggest to his parents to request a meeting with the other parents and the 2 children on school property and have someone ask questions that is trained in sorting through fabrication and getting to the truth

When my kids came home telling me all about what another kid did to them my 1st question was always, "And what did you do before they did all that?"
