@theweekendmsnow: With energy costs high due to the war in Iran, President Trump announced a deal with Russia to lower diesel fuel costs for Americans, but this decision is facing backlash from both Democrats and Republicans. Virginia Democratic Rep. James Walkinshaw joined “The Weekend” on Sunday and said the deal looked like “another favor” for Vladimir Putin.

It’s just a way for Trump to give Putin money to attack Ukraine

The measurement is in tons, not in gallons or barrels. That’s the important fact of this agreement with Russia. 300,000 tons of diesel fuel would not fuel all of Union Pacific locomotives. I’m a retired Railroad locomotive manager. It takes 5000 to 5500 gallons to fuel one locomotive that’s 35,000 pounds. I seen another. TikTok creator state that calculating all of the diesel trucks and locomotives in the United States. This fuel would last 18 minutes.

It would take weeks to even get to the pumps ... it's a drop in the bucket

What’s also BS is it’s only a one day supply. It’s a fucking publicity stunt is all it is, but Roosevelt never did side deals with Hitler for bad press right before the elections. He is setting himself up to go down really hard. That’s why I believe he will try to seize power. We all need to stand together.

Putin demanded Trump proved to the world that Putin was in charge and Trump rolled over. Meanwhile the Kremlin pays for his daughter’s wedding and locks away those pesky files
