The city needs to open RV parks. Some people can not live in apartments. RV life works for us. RV life is not homeless. The RV parks do not allow RVs over 10 years old. Making a program that will put you in all kinds of other program.

What proportion of the affected individuals has access to media channels capable of disseminating permit application information? If applicants miss the deadline and are required to relocate every two hours, the associated costs are prohibitive. The majority would prioritize food expenditures over fuel. Displacement exacerbates existing challenges, as individuals would then require tents and suitable locations for them. Finally, the utility of a permit is questionable: if a permit permits residency, the distinction from a non-towing policy is minimal, aside from increased administrative expenses and documentation.

If housing was in such a nightmare, I’m sure majority of these people wouldn’t be living in RVs. We need to make housing a basic human right and stop overcharging people just to find accommodations to live in.

Yeah, I think it’s bullshit. What they’re doing to these people just stealing peoples homes and everything that they have left and giving nobody any option to do anything about it like they’re not giving them anywhere to go what else are they supposed to do?

So I'm at work and I have to move my rv every 2 hours? Seems a bit much. If it has registered plates 3 days seems more reasonable.

what fucken insane about this law is talk to anyone who has worked either this community getting housing is virtually impossible in seattle right now. i know moms with young children under 5 who have been homeless and on a list for over a year. they literally have no other option available but to sleep in a car bcs the shelters are full. and this dumb “they must be on a list to get housing” rule solves nothing. its just going to create chaos.

Why can’t they use one of the many vacant lots for people to park and access services, you could give it time limits in order to create turn over if needed. You could offer waste water pumping. People could volunteer mechanical services. Get the community involved. Ticketing and towing just puts more pressure on the cops who already can’t get to non emergent calls. These new rules feel way more punitive than helpful
