Let's normalize proxies please. Personally I think being against proxies is boot licking behavior. Everyone would enjoy these games more if money wasn't a barrier for good decks.

My table allowed proxies as long as it was based off the original card and was used as a substitute and not have some wild and crazy effect.

Now that I’ve played against someone that does proxies. I hope everyone doesn’t just make powerful cards to bring to a casual pod. Kind of defeats the purpose.

i'm surprised there are so many people against it... this game should be fun for everyone without breaking the bank. if you have the money cool buy your cards but if not and you wanna proxy I really dont see the issue as long as its just casual play.

everyone thats saying "im cool with it as long as its not crazy powerful etc" has to realise that theyre just at the wrong tables with those decks. theres nothing wrong with proxying a stupid powerful $10k+ deck as long as you play it with decks that match. most of my decks are real bc thats my preference but i do own two proxy decks, a bracket 2 and a bracket 4 respectively. i only play those decks at tables that match them and that should apply no matter how real the cards are. like yes obviously proxying a crazy Cedh deck and bringing it to a bracket 3 table is pathetic but its just as pathetic as if the cards where real imo.

I only play proxy decks … every single card is a proxy and costs $1 a whole commander deck is $100 … I love this and I don’t play in sanctioned events… what is the point anymore after WoTC started making their own proxies

I made a Proxy version of smothering tithe for my Kambal deck but its a photo of my ferret trying to steal a sock and it will never leave my deck (its also the only game changer in any of my decks since it just works so well) 🥰
