A 67-year-old Immingham predator who used an alias to target and sexually abuse two young girls doing odd jobs has received a 16-year extended sentence. Grimsby Crown Court heard that Matthew North, of Pilgrim Avenue, used the fake name "John" to lure the children under 13 while they tried to earn pocket money washing cars and cleaning. Between September 2025 and April 2026, North subjected the girls to sexual touching, demanded oral sex, called them his girlfriends, and threatened to make their lives hell if they told anyone. On one occasion, he trapped one child inside his home before she managed to escape. When arrested, North denied the offences and blamed the young children.
