A 23-year-old branded a serial perpetrator of violence who raped and controlled a woman before attacking two other victims has received a 15-year extended sentence. The court heard that Owen Rowe subjected the female victim to relentless coercive control, jealousy, and possessive behaviour, using emotional blackmail and threats of self-harm to stop her reporting him before violently raping and assaulting her. During police interviews, Rowe attempted to deflect blame, claiming he was the victim of controlling behaviour and denying the sexual violence. A complex police investigation uncovered further violence against others. Rowe was convicted of rape, coercive control, sexual assault and assault against a second woman, and an attempted serious assault on a man. On Monday 19 October 2026, he was sentenced to 12 years in prison with a three-year extended licence. Image - Anonymous Artist Impression #ukcrime #uknews #courtnews #truecrimeuk #publicsafety
