Three predators who targeted and raped a female student in Clent have been jailed for a combined total of over 20 years. Worcester Crown Court heard that Arjan Purewal, Jaskaran Thandi, and Hassan Jangheer preyed on the young student before subjecting her to a horrific sexual ordeal. Following a major investigation, Purewal stood trial and was convicted of rape, blackmail, perverting the course of justice, and possessing a fraudulent identity document. Thandi and Jangheer were convicted of aiding and abetting rape, alongside sexual assault. On Friday 9 October 2026, the judge sentenced Purewal to eight-and-a-half years in prison, Thandi to six years and four months, and Jangheer to six years.
