@wild.magnolias: The affordability crisis is real here in Louisiana! We have the highest cost burden for groceries in the country!! #groceryprices #louisiana #louisianatiktok #parishnews #fypシ
I moved from Sonoma, CA four months ago. Not only are the prices higher than CA, the quality of produce isn’t great AND it’s more expensive 😳

And minimum wage is still less than $8? It’s around $15 in Missouri where I currently live. That’s still not enough but $8 is insane.

Having the highest cost burden doesnt mean our groceries are more expensive than every other place. It means that we have a lower median income so it takes more of our money to buy the groceries.

They take care of themselves. Good ole boy sheriff takes care of good ole boy business owner. Good ole boy business owner takes care of sheriff, mayor politicians etc. judges business owners wealthy…all of them know each other and take care of each others interests. They don’t care about normal people

And the minimum wage is still 7.25 because they say it will “raise prices”. NO PEOPLE we already have the highest prices and the lowest wages.

The very sad thing about this is we are such an agriculturally rich state. We should have plenty of EVERYTHING! We should not be one of the poorest states or have prices as we do. It's horrible. I have lived here all my life. Love my state, but it absolutely disgusts me that there are so many poor and hungry people.

I was in Los Angeles California and bought groceries at Walmart there. way cheaper there than here in Louisiana. Louisiana is higher on groceries than anywhere else ive been and on top of that you have to pay sales tax on food here!! sales tax on food!!! wtf!
