In April 2012, something surprising happened in Accra. A man came out publicly with a very bold claim. He said he was the secret son of Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first President. His name was Onsy Anwar Nathan Nkrumah. At that time, he was 55 years old. He said he had lived a very private life and stayed away from the public for many years. According to him, he was born on March 17, 1957, just a few days after Ghana gained independence. He explained that his mother was an Egyptian woman called Isis Nashid, and that his relationship with his father was kept secret. Many Ghanaians were surprised because they only knew the children of Nkrumah with Fathia Nkrumah, including Samia Nkrumah and her siblings. What made the story more emotional was when a family delegation came all the way from Nkroful to meet him. Nkroful is the hometown of Osagyefo. The meeting was full of emotion. There were tears, curiosity, and deep silence. The family welcomed him and even gave him some personal items believed to belong to Nkrumah. These included a smock, a walking stick, and a white handkerchief. He also said he had already helped the family by renovating their house in the village and bringing electricity and modern improvements. But even with all this, many questions were still left unanswered. His claim was never officially confirmed. Some people believed him, while others did not. Up till today, the story remains a mystery in Ghana’s history. #ghanatiktok🇬🇭 #ghana #fyp #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #viral
