@theologyinthedirtpodcast: The church was never meant to be a spectator sport. Every member of the body has been placed by God with a purpose. If you're content to just watch, you're missing what it means to truly belong. It's time to move from consumer Christianity to contributor Christianity. What role is God calling you to play? #ChurchCommunity #Discipleship #EveryMemberMatters #BodyOfChrist

This was the best day of my life. 🏔️ I drove from Toronto, Ontario, all the way to Revelstoke, British Columbia, and back again, and stopped for a day and a night in Lake Louise, Alberta… in a 26-foot RV with my kids. And somewhere along those thousands of kilometres, I met a version of myself I had needed my entire life. This trip changed me. It transformed every fibre of my being. I’ve always been incredibly strong. But for most of my life, strength wasn’t a choice. It was a necessity. Life demanded it of me, and I became someone who could survive just about anything. But this? This was different. This was strength I chose. I chose the adventure. The uncertainty. The freedom. The responsibility. The joy. The memories. The experience of finding out just how capable I really am. And somewhere between the mountains, the laughter, the long drives, and the moments that took my breath away, I came home to myself. My playful side re-emerged. My inner child. My courage. My self-worth. My independence. I met the woman who makes sh*t happen. And who takes care of sh*t when everything goes to sh*t… Who figures sh*t out. Who creates safety. Who can be trusted to follow through on the promises she makes to herself. I became my own safe person. And perhaps the greatest transformation of all was realizing that just because I have the strength to carry something doesn’t mean I have to. Just because I can understand someone doesn’t mean I have to make room for them. Just because I can love deeply doesn’t mean everyone deserves access to that love. I have spent so much of my life discovering how much I can endure. This trip taught me how much I deserve to enjoy. And I will never forget the woman I met out there. I’ve never met anyone quite like her. And I will not abandon her, diminish her, betray her, or sacrifice her for anyone ever again. Come into my life exactly as you are. I’ll decide if you get to stay. 🤍
