Men all over the world determined women are second class citizens well before we had immigration/colonization etc. Yes racism and misogyny are intertwined, but men have ALWAYS viewed us as their property. Even men who experience racism will still abuse and hurt women of their own race.

as a white woman, I am not ever going to compare oppression that I am not a victim of. Talked to a white guy about racism who was like very smart, very educated. He asked me whether I could imagine what it would possibly be like to be hated for a characteristic I can’t control and i was like “I mean it’s not the same thing but yk… misogyny” and he was like “oh I’ve never thought about that”… they really think misogyny is like made up or smth

Black men could legally vote in the US before any woman could (I know, it was def not this simple in practice but the point is that rich white men technically granted a power to other men they had viewed as “subhuman” but vehemently denied their own wives, mothers, daughters, etc.)

i get so uncomfortable when people use "white women" to just be misogynistic and don't feel bad. there are many examples of white women being racist and, in that regard, I understand and support calling out. but I've seen so many men, any race, use "white women" to make fun and belittle us for no reason, just to be misogynistic. as if white women are not oppressed.
