@sustainableseedling: 🍋 Overwintering citrus trees in containers is one of the biggest challenges of growing tropical fruit in colder climates! 🥶 Citrus trees are sensitive to freezing temperatures, and their roots are even more vulnerable when they’re growing in containers! 🌱 Here in zone 8a, I have to protect my citrus trees during winter, which means bringing them inside when temperatures drop. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The problem? Large citrus trees in heavy containers are NOT easy to move! 🪴 I’ve been using a rolling citrus planter from @Vego Garden moving my trees around so much easier! 💚 You don’t have to live somewhere tropical to grow your own citrus trees.
