People don’t understand the whole reason behind this fight entirely…Korra was actively looking for Raava. If you’re in a fight and you actively trying to protect other people from getting hurt you aren’t giving 100% of yourself towards the fight. I’m not excusing anything because when she got caught by unaavtu I also didn’t know how she was going to escape that before Jinora came but if you watch the fight intimately they were a lot of opportunities for Korra to end the fight but if she did then she would have lost Raava for 10 000 years and we don’t know what that would have entailed for the world especially since we know if Raava/Vaatu is different one or the other had to emerge in the one still alive. But if both of them had gone what would have happened?
