@styledbysurvival: Replying to @Leah Shamblen There are still so many questions surrounding the Lindsay Clancy case, particularly when it comes to sleep training, the children’s sleep routines, and Patrick Clancy’s account of their family life. In response to a comment, I discussed Lindsay reportedly requesting a police wellness check after being unable to reach Patrick while he was home with Cora, along with the contrasting descriptions of Callan’s sleep. Patrick described Callan as a happy baby and their best sleeper, while Lindsay reportedly expressed significant emotional distress surrounding sleep training and allowing her baby to cry it out. How do we reconcile these different accounts? I’m not making accusations. I’m asking questions about the testimony, reported statements, and family dynamics discussed in this case. What are your thoughts? #LindsayClancy #PatrickClancy #LindsayClancyCase #ClancyCase #TrueCrimeDiscussion

I'm not a parent. But if I had a child and it had been crying for 1 hour straight and my partner wasn't picking up the phone, I would also call the police. I don't see how that is odd.

Furthermore, it’s not the right thing to do just because somebody else says it’s the right thing to do. Everyone’s different. Everyone approach his life different. My child was not sleep trained, she’s perfect perfectly adapted to life. Everyone everyone’s different just because someone says it’s the right thing to do doesn’t make it the right thing to do for you. It really irritates me that somebody puts out in the ether well you should do this and everybody takes it for gospel.

The strangest part for me is that they paint her calling 911 as that she was controlling…. I would think that she was calling because if he hadn’t responded to Cora in all that time, surely something had to be wrong with him too?

In his reddit, he talks about it in terms of hours, until she called. 😳 I fully understand her not trusting him to be there at night with them.

To the commenter, when a baby cries for that long of a period, its a lose their breath kind if agony cry and are not just normal loud crying. That is a very scary cry when you are somewhere where you cannot get to your child. My opinion for her to have reacted that way, and calling the cops, she witnessed him doing this before and knew he wouldn’t wake up. But she probably never told on him. And the part where it broke her heart so bad sleep training him that hearing him cry hurt she bad, speaks volumes to me as a mom. And I feel like she was so hard on herself because she knew she was the only one capable of doing it and if she didn’t, then it was gonna be a repeat of what she did with the first tube where he didn’t help. So in her mind, it was her, trying to protect those babies, and still taking the blame the way she had been trained to take it. Narcissist love to make you question your own sanity and reality and train you to take the blame for everything. All of this just proves what type of person he is. And what took place in that relationship.

I’m a dog mom and if my dogs had been barking for an hour straight and my neighbors called me about it and my husband was home and not picking up, I’d 100% be calling the cops.

He didn’t give a crap about those kids and used Lindsay’s sensitivity against her. He didn’t know anything about those kids and I’m guessing he didn’t care whether or not they cried ever.

my husband is a great dad but if I was out and saw the baby had been crying and he wasn't answering his phone I also would call for a wellness check, I would absolutely assume he was hurt because that's the only way he would be ignoring our baby crying for an hour

In his Reddit posts he said that he was frustrated that they were not on the same page about sleep training and that Lindsay didn’t want them to cry. He said it was tough but he wanted to sleep train them.

I would call for a well check too because I’d be wondering if my husband was dead and that’s why he wasn’t getting up or didn’t hear her kid screaming

Sounds like Patrick wanted him sleep trained for his convenience not for what was best for the relationship between mother and child … that’s abusive control by Patrick which is cruel

I am a parent and I will tell you it is very odd. When that came out, I was taking aback.. It’s odd and it never sat well with me, it’s not typical to feel so uneasy about your partner being at home alone with the kids, something was going on. Somethings not right about it.

And she wasn’t just obsessively watching the monitor on her phone all night at work. She was taking a pumping break at work and it can help with breast milk let down if you see/hear your baby. She pulled up the monitor to pump. That is when she discovered this

You’re a smart person and don’t have to be a parent to know this was not ok. You’re spot on! But fwiw, as a parent, sleep training my daughter felt similar, almost abusive, and that was for 5-10 minute increments… but letting them cry for an hour is not sleep training, that’s just negligence.
