EP.20 | The Child They Threw Away 🌍 The Vault In his study, Nnamdi hears from a guard that the four men sent after the child were found shot dead near the old farmhouse, and that their van was later left in the middle of the bridge, probably because whoever took it knew it had a tracker. The fifth man has vanished, so Nnamdi decides he must have been working with whoever is protecting the child. He insists that Adaeze is dead and powerless and that the time when she could wake the vault will never come, and he vows that in thirty-nine days, at the Onwa Festival, he will break the flame for good so that everyone bows to him, his children and their children. On the thirty-first day, at dawn, a narrow path winds through thorn bushes and tall grass, with the Protector leading, a rifle across his back. Mama Ebele follows, leaning on her staff, and Adaeze comes behind, holding Oluchi's hand. Oluchi looks stronger now, with color in her cheeks. At the top of the hill, half-swallowed by vines, stands the old Ibekwe house, roofless and cracked, its great door carved with a crescent and three stars.#foryoupage #fyp #foryou #anime #tiktok - @ssm_animmelodies
